I got chance to pick-up a Remington 770 300 Win Mag/ Bushnell scope package for around $200 or alittle more.
Is it worth having? I did see that ammo is fairly high to average as the .308 and .270 stuff is.
I may use it to deer hunt with if the Indiana rifle season goes through.
Just dont know, seems like a good price and don't wanna pass up a gun. You know how it is...
"Don't really need it, but for the price it's hard to pass up" LOL!

I would say go for it...maybe after a test shoot if possible !!
I would dare say you could turn it over for a profit at that price... |

I would be all over that. The .300 Win Mag is huge, but like you, I am hoping the rifle season does come in here in Indiana. I plan on using my 700 in .30-06.

A 300 win mag is too much for anything I hunt but for that price I would be hard pressed to pass it up if for no other reason than to flip it....assuming it's in decent shape and the price does not reflect some non-obvious issue issue.

Well, I was able to trade it for a Remi 870 Exp Mag 12ga combo. The combo is in like new condition its an older model but its been well kept.
I 'd like to replace the wood with a Camo Shur-Shot stock set if ya know anyone that may have one. I got to looking and "Yes" that caliber is way to hot for anything Ill be hunting so I got me another turkey to build LOL! |
