Hey shooters, I picked up a 770 in .308 a couple years ago for $200. Figured couldn't beat the price, even though it is an entry level. I've only had a chance to shoot it a couple times. My first impression, not a bad rifle, make for a good back up. That being said I still would like to mod it some. I know the bolt hangs up. I've seen where some have taken it apart and really cleaned it up to help smooth it out. I need to order a new mag, which I've seen at Brownell's, since mine blows apart every time a round is squeezed off. However, I'm wondering about triggers and stocks. I noticed Boyd's makes a stock for the 770, but not sure if a trigger guard is available. Also, does anyone know of any decent triggers available for the 770?
