I am ready to start carrying my R-51, but have not found a suitable holster yet.
Anyone have any real experience with a particular holster for the R-51?
I prefer IWB, but will consider OWB. Also prefer leather.

I got a Remora clipless IWB for mine. Not sure about the specific size, I think they make them on order anyway, so when I specified which gun it was for, there was no option for Remington so in the "Other" field I said it was for a Remington R51. It fits perfectly. I got the sweat guard and the soft lining option also. You can also order them with clips, I believe. I notice it also fits my Beretta 84F very nicely, so if you are looking at holsters if you find one that fits an 84F you might be on the right track.

I just ordered an IWB from this guy...he's got a laser on the way to make the correct form for the Crimson Trace edition.

I gave up finding a holster and bought a large frame IWB at a closing Gander Mountain. I cut it apart and resewed it. The rear sight is about 3/4" above the top of the belt clip. Works well. I had previously resewed a lined tuckable IWB for a revolver. It works well also. I think one for a Makarov would also work. The holster for a PPK I tried was too short.
Dan Coleman.

Went with a Vetter.

Have an AlienGear 3.0 for my R51. It's a bit bulky. I will probably order a N82 Original holster for it (compact slim size).

I noticed the Vedder LightTuck is available for the R51. Looks like a very precisely formed kydex iwb holster and always seems to have good reviews. The cant, retention, and ride height are all adjustable.

Finally ordered IWB holster from Vetter. Very impressive. Finding one that was adjustable was one criteria. Their clip took care of that. The fit and finish are noteworthy. Quick delivery even over Christmas. Thinking about adapting their clips to some of my other holsters.

Do the screws for the belt clip stay tight? I've heard that is a problem with some other brands of adjustable single clip holsters.
