I am looking for a Remington Mdl. Seven CDL in 7-08. I have found all kinds of new ones but am looking for a used one priced accordingly.

That's why I'm posting here, most of the prices on the auction sites are outrageous.

Good luck indeed! Only thing I can think of is calling a few local gun shops and asking them to give you a call if one comes in that was sold or traded. In my opinion one of the nicest bolt action rifles with that 20 inch tube. Good luck with your search Steve.

Good advice mauser9, I am already on the 'list' in about four shops (if they will ever really call) in case one comes in. I also think the CDL is one of the best looking 'Factory' 20 inch rifles out there.

If I had to start over again this would be the one I would buy first. Your choice of caliber is great but one in .243 sure sounds like a sweet shooter.

I own 56 different sets of reloading dies but two of the 'mainstream' die sets or rifles for that matter that I have never owned are the 243 and 270  . Don't know why just never did. I own more 7-08's than most anything else with the exception of 5.56/223.

Then you "need" the .243 also! I have one, a Synthetic Compact. Great little carry rifle and easy to swap barrels if you're really into 7mm-08 (got one of those also).
