Shot my new RM380 this morning for the first time. Smooth trigger (like my SCCY CPX2), mild recoil (unlike my KT 3PAT or my Taurus TCP). I like everything about this pistol, including the flat baseplate. With the other 2 guns, I HAD to use the extended plates just to be able to hold onto them. With this one the flate plate is very comfortable and conceals better in the front pocket. I put 60 rounds thru it this morning, something I couldn't do with the others because they were too punishing. No problems, and that was right out of the box. Cleaned and lubed it and stuffed the mags with my carry ammo and am good to go. With the others (especially the KT) I wasn't comfortable carrying it until after maybe 200 rounds. That's when I stopped haveing feed problems. With the TCP it was around 100 rounds. With this one, I had no problems, so I'm confident this is a quality gun, ready for service. This all came about because I was tired of the difficult racking and punishing recoil. Started researching and the RM kept coming up with glowing reviews. This really is a sweet shooting gun, particularly with these 71 year old, arthritic hands and wrists. 60 rounds was actually fun. That's it for now from S Central PA. Hope to hear from some of you soon. BYE

Glad to hear you're liking it.

Mine has been flawless from day 1. Round count is now at 875. I put the Galloway spring set in (increased power recoil spring and reduced power hammer and firing pin return springs). Lightens the trigger pull some and reduces recoil even more. Slide still racks really easy.

I prefer a three fingered grip so I modified an Adams Grip Extension that was made for a DB9. Still conceals well and my accuracy improved. I still struggle a bit with accuracy due to the long trigger pull.

This is the beauty about guns. We're not a one size fits all world.

So, if it fits you without it, great.

If it doesn't fit, there are alternatives out there so that it does.

Great posts guys. :D
When people ignorant of guns make gun laws, you end up with ignorant gun laws.
