I just recently purchased a Remington Model 25 Carbine in .32-20 Winchester. While somewhat under-powered, I was wondering if anyone has any information about law enforcement use of this handy little carbine?

lavistabill,

I am no authority but I have researched the Model 25 fairly heavily. My 25 R in 32-20 is my favorite "walking around gun". I am not aware of any law enforcement use.

There is a fellow who has a large data base on this model. Perhaps he can help.

Enjoy your new toy!

I don't know why "tom" is not included in the e-mail address, but it should be. I tried to fix it...

I think it may be because of one of the forum settings. We get a lot of spammers who just love to get personal information of any kind so they can slam you with various things. Up to and including spoofing your email address while they are trying to register themselves in an attempt to thwart an instaban and sneak in.

Recently, we prevented almost 1100 registration attempts in just a few weeks for spammers trying to register here from various entities in a coordinated attack from every continent on earth.

That's why having personal information in the open forum is against rule #6. If you would like to provide someone with any part of your personal info, doing it in PM is a somewhat safer alternative. And giving out someone elses personal info is prohibited altogether. If the guy has a website, it's OK to give that address out as it's open content.

I'm pretty sure that new members with low post counts can send/receive PM's. Just that certain other parts of the forums (like the marketplace) is not available until you reach higher post counts.

OK. So I read the rules. I cannot PM until I have 30 posts.

Sorry lavistabill! Google is your friend.

No apologies are necessary. You replied trying to help out the OP by trying to help him. For that, thank you.

No harm, no foul. I'll try to look at the PM permissions later. I was thinking that it was set to allow all members to PM, just only limited to PM'ing one person at a time so a spammer couldn't sneak in and mass PM the entire member list at once.

I'll try to look into it.
