Won an in the box, brand new Remington Camo 783 30.06 at a white tails dinner. Went to site gun in and bought a brand new box of shells Remington 30-06 shells. Also brought along a couple of reloads. Probably half of the shells in new box wouldn’t shoot. Pin hit primer but no result. Have had problem before but it was with used older guns and fixed by stretching spring in bolt. curious if any others have had this problem off brand new gun and if I’m simply dealing with a weak pin from the factory. Also not sure how to access spring within this bolt to stretch it. Any help thankful, thanks.

I'm not entirely sure how the 783 is, but it does sound like either a weak spring, or a firing pin that isn't protruding out far enough.

But since some of them went off, I imagine it's just a weak/bad spring.

Maybe this video may help.

When people ignorant of guns make gun laws, you end up with ignorant gun laws.

Now I know they're not so ignorant and it's ATRRITION
