Hi all,
I have a 721 and am assuming that the mainspring, or as I would rather call it..... firing pin spring, would be the same as a 700. Would someone please tell me the over all length of this spring?

The reason I ask, is, the spring, I believe.. might be too long, and is slightly bunched up on the pin and drags as the assembly is inserted into the bolt body.

I don't know if anything was done to it... I bought the rifle on consignment and here it is.

Thanks in advance

I don't know if you have the long or short action, but numrich has the 721 firing pin spring. part 22 for about $5 and change.

721 is a long action. 722 is a short action

I was thinking someone put in the wrong length, and it would save me a couple of bucks to cut it to length. I inquired on Numrich forum where they answer questions about their parts. I should get an answer shortly. Thanks
